Research Interests

My broad interests are in mesophotic fish ecology and data science. My research is based around increasing our understanding what fish are found where and why particularly in this changing environment. We are baited remote underwater video (BRUV), ROV, towed video and multibeam echo sounder to collect biological and seafloor characteristics data. I am currently supported by the National Environment Science Program Marine Biodiversity Hub where we are building a greater understanding of the ecological and economic significance of rocky reef in Commonwealth Marine Parks, which are often at mesophotic depths on the continental shelf.
