Research Interests

I am currently a PhD candidate in Marine Biology and Ecology at Victoria University of Wellington (Te Herenga Waka). My research is focused on studying the genetic connectivity of the endemic New Zealand black coral populations in the South Island of New Zealand. I am an experienced diver with a strong passion for scientific diving. In addition to my PhD research, I am also involved in various research projects related to Temperate Mesophotic Ecosystems (TME) and the implementation of new 3D photogrammetric technology. As a researcher, my goal is to contribute to a better understanding of TME and the associated marine biodiversity and make scientific initiatives more accessible to the general public.
