Christina Kellogg is an Research Microbiologist at the Coastal and Marine Science Center in St. Petersburg, FL. She joined the USGS as one of the first Mendenhall Fellows, characterizing the microbial communities in African dust, beach sediments, sea grass beds, and coral reefs. In her current position, Chris applies molecular techniques and classical microbiological methods to study microbes in the marine environment, particularly the microbial ecology of tropical and deep-sea corals.
