Dr. Randy Kosaki, is the chief scientist for Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument. He says the kinds of questions asked and answered about research in the decade since the establishment of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands Coral Reef Ecosystem Reserve, have changed significantly.
